
01. The problem
AI has changed the speed of development. Sites go live faster than ever — and agencies move on just as fast. Once a site is live, the focus shifts to the next project. But sites don't stay static. Content grows, images get uploaded, third-party scripts get added, and performance quietly degrades in the background.
Then the client emails you. Their site is slow, they've noticed it, and they expect you to fix it. It's a tough conversation — and an entirely avoidable one.
The standard tool for checking performance is Page Speed Insights. But it's a manual process: copy the URL, paste it in, run the audit, check one page at a time. If you manage a site with twenty pages across twenty clients, that's not a workflow — it's a second job.
The tools that existed were either built for individual developers checking one site at a time, or enterprise platforms with pricing that made no sense for an agency with twenty clients. Nothing sat in the middle.
And even when you did find a regression, turning it into a client conversation was still entirely manual — estimating the work, writing the scope, justifying the cost. The technical finding was there. The process for doing something with it wasn't.
02. The insight
The problem isn't that performance monitoring is hard. The problem is that it's disconnected from everything else agencies actually do: client communication, billing, and development workflows.
A Lighthouse score sitting in a tab doesn't help anyone. What helps is knowing which of your twenty sites dropped last week, why it dropped, how many hours it would take to fix, and what you should charge the client to do it.
That's a workflow problem, not a data problem. The data already exists. What's missing is the layer that connects it to how agencies work.
We also noticed something else: the way developers actually fix performance issues has changed. With tools like Claude Code, a developer can go from "here's the problem" to "here's the pull request" in a single session — if the context is right. That opened up a different question: what if your audit data lived natively inside your development workflow, rather than in a browser tab you have to manually switch to?
03. What Speedux does
Speedux is a web performance monitoring platform built specifically for agencies. It runs automated Core Web Vitals audits across every client site you manage, surfaces regressions as they happen, and gives you the tools to act on them — without leaving your normal workflow.

04. What's next
